Position Overview
The Registered Massage Therapist and/or Certified Spa Practitioner (RMT/CSP) is responsible for providing massage services to CMH guests, leading dynamic warm-up class each morning, and responsible for the daily upkeep of the spa area at the lodge. This person will work as part of a team and be highly organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a seasonal job opportunity. The CMH winter season runs from late-November to late-April.
Rate of pay is based on a 10-hour day for guest exchange days, and a 5-hour day plus booked massage times on massage days.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead a comprehensive and dynamic 30-minute warm up class, which includes a variety of movement patterns, on all mornings apart from a guest exchange day.
Take full ownership of the spa & fitness facilities inclusive of the massage rooms and executing daily and weekly cleaning duties related to these spaces.
Prepare massage rooms and ensure a calm and inviting environment.
Manage the guest massage schedule including charge entry for completed massages.
Support the ski program by assisting with radio duty and rescue response.
Assist the lodge team in the cleaning-up of meal services.
Be actively involved in the cleaning of common spaces on exchange days to effectively prepare the lodge for incoming guests.
Willing to assist with other lodge duties, as assigned. This type of work environment requires team players that work hard together to meet overall goals.
Follow OH&S and WHMIS standards and demonstrate safe workplace practices.
Support guests in the field program, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 1000 hours of certified massage training with education documentation.
Food Safe Certificate, preferred.
Experience working in a remote lodge, preferred.

Working Conditions
This type of work setting is challenging and demanding. Successful staff are intrinsically motivated by a passion for massage experiences in the backcountry and creating memorable experiences with our guests.
Work Environment:
This job is in a remote area of British Columbia. Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area for work shifts.
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
Manual dexterity to operate job-specific equipment on a constant basis.
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

Compensation
A competitive pay rate with massage commission will be provided, along with 4% vacation pay and potential opportunities to heli-ski, as available. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
