About the Role:
Maintenance Technician is a prime operational position that ensures safe running of the portfolio facilities with seamless delivery of Critical service to all Client departments and building occupiers within the clients portfolio to ensure it remains operational. Provide effective critical services within the engineering team at the client. Ensuring that the operation conforms to established performance and quality standards that meet the requirements of the M&E contract and SLA made between CBRE and the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Adherence to the clients changes control and other management processes.
Provision of quality management information and reporting to CBRE and the client
Health & Safety and work permit system
Effective management and administration reporting
Effective management of Sub-Contractors and CBRE personnel.
Engineering technical support to Technicians
LV Authorised – Assist and undertake Critical Service switching for isolations and processes.
Positive innovative contribution and lead by example.
Surveillance of building systems, understand operating parameters and set-points
Surveillance of all engineering related works undertaken on the premises.
Delegated oversight of Sub-contractor working for CBRE and others.
Provision of Safe operational programme documentation.
Ensure correct escalation process is followed.
Ensure high quality delivery of PPM and reactive works to meet SLA
Provide regular Engineering performance reviews to Engineering Manager
Support at all times a “Safety First” culture
Take responsibility for your own safety and act responsibly to make known any activities or situations that are a threat to health and safety at work
Positive contribution to “Tool Box Talks” and team meetings.
Positive contribution to Health & Safety culture.
Surveillance of BMS systems, understand operating parameters and set-points
Surveillance of all engineering related works undertaken on the premises.
Delegated oversight of Sub-contractor working for CBRE and others.

Develop a good working relationship with end users
Supporting the Facilitates Coordinator and/or Manager with obtaining quotes for supplies, parts and works.

Provide support to other team members on work related issues

Maintain personal Engineering knowledge in line with current standards and changing legislation.
Keep records of statistical information for audit or review purposes
To provide timely and accurate reports
Ensure that service levels are being met
Ensure all work areas are adhering to the best housekeeping standards
Level of satisfaction from visitors, clients, employees, partners and directors at the client
Time management in prioritising tasks and understanding of urgency of certain requests.
As part of this role from time to time you may be asked to work across work streams, this is to support the integrated working environment.
Experience Required:
Good standard of general education.
English and Maths GCSE A to C grade.
Professional trade qualifications with a bias to electrical City and Guilds to include 18th Edition
Substantial intermediate experience working within M&E building maintenance.
Demonstrate experience & understanding of current Health & Safety.
Demonstrate Supervisory experience of working in Blue Chip Environment.
Good communication skills essential, both verbal and written
A level of IT literacy – Word, Excel, Outlook, Client on line systems.
Report writing.
Smart & presentable.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients on behalf of CBRE.
Attendance at management and Client meetings as required
Undertake additional training as required
Flexible, adaptable team player with a positive “can do attitude”
Ability to work under pressure and support the team
Effective personal time management essential
