SCL Health Speech Pathologist in Brighton, Colorado

Job Description:The Speech Pathologist is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treating disorders of speech, language, and feeding. In addition, this position is also responsible for consulting, educating and training patients and their caregivers.

Posting Specifics: This is a pediatric therapy position for outpatient peds Includes acute care NICU coverage Schedule is 20 hours/week. Mon/Wed 8 hour days and Friday 4 hour day Scope

As an SLP you need to know how to: Carry out speech therapy evaluations, program planning and treatments for pediatric outpatients and NICU babies. Work closely with the Physical Medicine Director in coordinating speech therapy activities with other hospital disciplines and in developing a program for department expansion, community and physician marketing, budget needs, and department administration. Work independently with some collaboration with other Speech Language Pathologists.

Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in speech pathology, required Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the State of Colorado, required. Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achieve clinical competencies by the required clinical internships, required Strong Clinical Fellows with demonstrated competence may work under supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist while completing the fellowship year- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required by completion of the unit-specific orientation and before working independently.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.$31.28 - $55.57
