Messer North America, Inc. Regional Lead Buyer T&E in Bridgewater, New Jersey

Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies. Source and negotiate with hotels, airlines, rental cars, travel agencies, as well as other indirect spending for the U.S. operations. Develop and implement North America travel and expenses (T&E) policies and procedures. Monitor compliance with travel and fleet policies, preferred suppliers, and online bookings. Select, implement, and administer online travel software. Manage pre-trip auditor system. Design and manage content for the travel website and mobile app. Respond and resolve catastrophic occurrences and assist travelers. Manage duty of care in conjunction with the Health and Safety team (HSEQ) and members of the Executive team. Monitor supplier performance and adherence to service level agreements. Develop and implement meetings management strategy and policy. Drive regional efficiency improvements for online booking and reporting. Work with the Shared Services team on compliance management and advise on onboarding and off-boarding process during divestitures and acquisitions. Oversee the maintenance and functionality of company’s main facilities. Manage and track preventative maintenance and repairs for facility and equipment, office cleanings, fire alarms, security systems, etc. Oversee key facility contracts and manage facility supplier relationships. Manage the contingent labor agreements, sourcing platform, and work closely with corporate HR on setting up and providing oversight for a robust program to manage recruited labor across multiple groups. Manage HR agency and recruitment suppliers for internal full time hiring positions across North America. Support Legal, Corporate Communications and Marketing/Sales teams for specific supplier contracts, conduct RFP’s, and negotiate and finalize supplier selection and manage a diverse supplier base across these categories. Achieve business targets, procurement goals, and KPIs.Requirements:•Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field. •Six years of travel & expense or hospitality industry experience, including procurement experience using local & regional knowledge of the Americas for airline sectors, hotel chains, & travel management suppliers.•Experience with contract development and negotiations in the T&E/hospitality industry.•Experience in financial analysis for long-term supply contracts and capital projects, including structured financing.•Experience analyzing T&E data sets from credit cards or travel management groups. •Experience optimizing spend options based on corporate travel patterns.•Experience with Coupa (Sourcing) software. •Proficiency with Excel processes such as vlookups, pivot tables, and indexing. •Functional knowledge of regional industry regulations for travel between South America and the US.
