Manager, Early Talent

Overall Job Summary

The position is responsible for developing the comprehensive strategy for attracting, retaining, and developing Early Career Programs and Campus Recruiting. This individual will direct and lead the campus recruiting team responsible for hiring for both our Store Support Center functions and our Distribution Center locations. This role extends its influence to support the recruitment, hiring, programming, and placement of all Tractor Supply rotational development programs. This individual oversees regional recruitment events and partnerships, strategically participating in high impact events that help enhance the Tractor Supply program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Designs the Early Talent strategy tied to talent organizational needs and areas of growth and expansion.

  • Leads Early Talent campus recruiting team to deliver and execute on early talent strategy through effective sourcing and recruitment practices.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand hiring needs and develop and implement a strategy that will proactively assist in achieving hiring goals.

  • Create, establish, and/or enhance the Corporate and Distribution Center Summer internship Programs. Assist in the facilitation of the growth of additional internship opportunities amongst additional functional areas/departments.

  • Create, establish, and/or enhance the merchandising, information technology, and supply chain rotation development programs. Ensure successful recruitment and program manager of all rotation development programs. Assist in facilitating the growth of additional programs amongst functional areas/departments.

  • Establish and maintain key metrics and KPIs associated with TSC’s early career programs. Regularly analyze and report on these metrics, providing insights to drive continuous improvement and effectiveness in program outcomes. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and use data-driven insights to refine and optimize early career initiatives.

  • Establish and manage early career budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to allocate resources effectively, optimizing the impact of early career programs within budget constraints.

  • Create a regular cadence of updates to business leaders & other key stakeholders in collaboration to enhance awareness and visibility of TSC early career programs

  • May participate in full-cycle campus recruiting to include the attraction, hiring, and retention of early talent professionals depending on hiring volume.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5years of work experience in HR with focus in Campus Recruitment

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Proven project management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes.

  • Ability to forge strong business relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners

  • Work independently and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel and Power point.

  • Expertise with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) required.
