Engineer, IT DevOps

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing Tractor Supply E-Commerce DevOps capability and environment management using Azure Cloud. This role will be critical in improving our ability to manage cloud infrastructures as well as deploy application code faster, manage it more effectively through automations. Key responsibilities include production support, development, and maintenance of continuous integration, deployment, and release management process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Understand and bring innovation and new technologies to the future of DevOps and how applications are built and delivered.

• Implement innovative DevOps solutions and solve technical problems and improve operational efficiencies through automations

• Partner with the Dev Ops Engineers & development teams to develop, maintain, and streamline automated build and release pipeline from code compilation, automated testing to deploy releases to multiple environments

• Assist in the managing and maintaining of all environments, ensuring that these environments are properly setup, configured, and highly available for each project as scheduled.

• Maintain source control branch strategies, build/release, branch merge process and documentations

• Coordinate release activities with other teams (internal and external), partnering with the Change Management group to ensure a smooth and trouble-free roll out of releases.

• Share a 24x7 on call production support rotation with your team and respond to service incidents.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2+ plus years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, release management, automated software development practices, or software development. Experience as a Build and Release Engineer for an organization with large and complex information systems

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer systems design or computer science from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

High Demand IT Specialized skills: Cloud PaaS/laaS environments (Azure, GCP)

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

• Familiarity with container ecosystem/technologies like Kubernetes, and the deployments/monitoring of those systems and process.

• Experience working with Application Development team using Agile methodology.

• Experience managing environments in cloud platforms.

• Experience with IBM/HCL Websphere Commerce, SOLR and related build and deployment processes.

• Experience with IBM Http Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ & Deployment manager ND/Liberty software
