Responsibilities

Responsible for generating external and internal copy for the Brookdale creative services team to complement visual concepts created by an art director across many platforms-digital, collateral, print, broadcast, etc. Crafts words to elicit an emotional response from the reader. Develops effective, unexpected concepts while delivering copy that wows the reader.

  • Creates work, concepts and copy, that adheres to the creative brief, is completely grammatically accurate, and motivates the target audience to take a particular action.

  • Develops creative, clear written materials in support of Brookdale’s communication strategies.

  • Plans, develops, and publishes internal or external communications (i.e. newsletters, brochures, manuals, website, content).

  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.

  • Partners with creative services team to concept and produce lead generation/nurturing campaigns.

  • Collaborates with project teams to understand business objectives and audience.

  • Writes perfect and pleasing copy that will engage the reader.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication, or other related field required. Minimum three years copywriting experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
