You will perform a variety of tasks which involve supervising the vending operation through our vending staff; to include training and inventory. Will also require you to fill in when associates are unable to work. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families. So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? o Supervises 3-8 employees, main area of responsibility will be oversight of Vending Warehouse o Preparation of merchandise transfers, the relocation and installation at locations, collection of monies from machines; cleaning vending machines and surrounding area o Ensure merchandise is received, and accounted for. o Ensures economical use and protection of supplies, tools, equipment and cash. o Trains subordinates in proper procedures and technical aspects of the vending operations, and assures safety and housekeeping rules are followed. o Operates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties. The Qualifiers: o Must be a U.S. Citizen o Must possess a valid state driver’s license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check. (e.g. Federal, DOD, Security Clearance) o Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties. o Regularly lifts/transports heavy objects, regular walking, bending and reaching required o Must pass the GSA defensive driving course. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE One year of experience that provided the applicant with the knowledge and skill to perform various duties involving the maintenance and operation of vending money changing machines and juke boxes. Candidates must possess a valid state driver s license or a valid commercial driver s license CDL and consistent record of safe driving. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly lifts and transports moderately heavy objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Occasionally handles heavier items with assistance or materials handling equipment. Regular walking bending reaching required.
