Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller in the Business Office, Ocean Engineering Department of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will manage the funds administration (i.e. budgeting, execution, accountability, etc.) for planning and execution of platform availabilities including projects, operation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and alterations workload. You will provide management oversight required to promote the proper stewardship of customer funding and implementation of Shipyard requirements. You will liaison between several off yard customers and Shipyard customers in accepting, planning, coordinating, and assuring adequacy of completed work. You will ensure routing and special Naval Sea Systems Command funding and status reports are generated and forwarded on schedule. You will provide management guidance to decisions on acceptance or non-acceptance of Ocean Engineering work for the Shipyard based on funding, capability, and capacity assessments of the department resources. You will supervise the Business Office staff assigned; plan and assign work to be accomplished, and develop performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating production control methods to develop and implement improvement procedures to prevent production delays, scheduling conflicts, or material shortages during the repair or overhaul of naval ships or submarines.
