Position Qualification/Requirements:

Degree/Education: Possess a master's degree from an accredited college/university in a behavioral science with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment. Certification: Possess and maintain a National Certification Credential by one of the following: The National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors; or The National Board of Certified Counselors; or The International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and other Drug Abuse; or Possess an Associate of Arts degree in a behavioral science with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment, and *Completion of the Navy Drug and Alcohol Counselor School (NDACS) that leads to Navy Certifications Navy Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, *and Possess Certification as a Navy Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. *Experience: *Possess a minimum of (2) years of experience within the preceding (3) years as a Substance Abuse Counselor in a Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program which includes male and female clients.
