Position Details:

 

The Opportunity:

 

Join our team as an Academic Coordinator/Advisor 1 for the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs, located in Bremerton, WA. In this role, you will provide academic advisement to both prospective and current undergraduate students, helping them navigate their educational journey. You will coordinate academic programs focused on recruitment, retention, and graduation efforts. Your responsibilities will include managing the student recruitment process, collaborating with the Pullman coordinator(s) to rank program applicants, assessing academic levels, responding to academic inquiries, advising students, and developing individual academic plans. Additionally, you will process and maintain student records, assist the Undergraduate Studies Committee Chairperson in administering the undergraduate program, prepare reports, and respond to inquiries regarding program policies and procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience working with students in an educational setting or related experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https://policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/#four_3and departmental driving standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply WSU policies and procedures as related to student records and undergraduate program requirements.

Monthly Salary: $4,050.92 - $5,829.37 | In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
