Job Description:

We are looking for a Direcotor of Technical Product Management – Digital Orthodontics join the Spark R&D team that is responsible for the development of software systems for the design and manufacturing of orthodontic appliances. You will be responsible for managing a group of Technical Product Manageners and Business Analysts overseeing products with significant technical complexity to ensure that product development and priorities align with our strategy, software requirements are written clearly and effectively.

The person in this role possess a robust technical background with experience in software development in an Agile environment as well as in a medical device or regulated environment. The Director of Technical Product Management leads the entire product lifecycle of our software system, working with our product managers, internal and external customers, and our software development managers to take products from ideas and concepts all the way to launch.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of technical product managers and business analyst to convert product ideas and business requirements into clear epics, user stories, and software features.

  • Working with our product management and internal customers, and software development managers, aligning product strategy with our business goals.

  • Take strategic initiatives and product ideas, convert them into software requirements and work with our software development managers to convert those into roadmaps

  • Improve our requirement specifications across the different development teams

Understanding and advocating agile methodologies.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a technical product manager, leading complex development projects, with a track record of successful releases on time.

  • Experience in process definition/improvements, product management, tools.

  • Experience with Agile software development

  • Experience in a regulated environment, preferably the medical device industry

  • Experience in team leadership, decision making, and presenting to groups.

  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics fields or equivalent relevant work experience
