The Job:

As a SIOP, Supply Planner you’ll be part of our Brea, CA team working as an on-site employee. As a Supply Planner, you’ll be part of our Aerospace Fasteners Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position’s primary responsibility is to meticulously oversee the Resource Planning/Rough-Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) process, manage production capability exceptions, and ensure optimal balance in Production Load/Capacity. You will lead the interface with Manufacturing, provide input for Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and drive process improvements for efficiency gains. Your responsibility extends to maintaining master data accuracy, supporting projects, and fostering seamless communication among planning teams, manufacturing, logistics, and other stakeholders. Your role is crucial in ensuring the robustness of the Supply Chain, contributing significantly to meeting demand and optimizing operational capacities. You’ll get to:

  • Translate forecasts into a long-term forecast into a high-level resource plan for supplier and cross-functional collaboration, manage related planning systems (JD Edwards Enterprise Supply Planning) for your portion of the business, and understand supplier constraints and capabilities.

  • Provide analysis to support and help drive monthly business reviews highlighting where supply is constrained and scenarios and recommendations on how to address.

  • Measure and report on KPI metrics and benchmarks relating to supply planning and the supply chain overall such as forecast accuracy, lead times, on-time delivery, and impact on capacity planning assumptions.

  • Effectively manage the relationships with demand planning teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of information.

  • Draw conclusions from various forms of data, use scenario planning to determine the best possible course of action.

  • Manage inventory for specific plants/suppliers to support working capital turn goals

  • Reduce Excess & Obsolete through management of NPD, transitions, and undersells

  • Maintain service level of items planned in order to support overall goal of 98% service level

  • Update weekly service level root cause analysis and drive resolution and corrective action of future occurrences

  • Minimize short supply challenges, as well as discover, resolve, and communicate recovery 

  • Successfully deliver New Product through the stages of Capacity Evaluation, Set Up, Production & Market Delivery

  • Coordinate globally with Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams

  • Conduct monthly review of capacity of components, tooling and manning (Resource Planning/RCCP)

  • Facilitate Global Capacity Planning to deliver aggressive WC Turns, 98% SL, and appropriate utilization and CapEx

  • Regularly review and update system settings for errors to maintain a clean and robust working environment

  • Regularly review % to Target, Workbench Capacity, Safety Stock, and plant schedules to achieve WCT turns goals balanced with customer fill rates

  • S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)

  • Inventory and Service Levels KPIs

Desired Experience & Education:

  • BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related experience

  • 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience

  • Strong System Knowledge (JDE, Excel, Business Warehouse)

  • Ability to mitigate short term issues and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Data analysis: Excel expert level, power query, databases, SQL, VBA, PowerBI

The base pay range for this position in California is $65,500 - $91,500 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
