Description We are seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper for a growing food and beverage company based in Brea, CA. The Part-time Bookkeeper will help manage the financial operations. This role offers flexibility with the schedule and is perfect for someone looking to contribute their accounting expertise while maintaining a balanced work-life schedule.

Job Overview:

The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling journal entries, overseeing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), and performing daily reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have experience with QuickBooks and an understanding of the transition process to Entrée, which will soon be the primary accounting platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Record journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.

Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Manage the general ledger (GL) and AP using QuickBooks; assist with the transition of all accounting processes to Entrée.

Perform daily reconciliations to ensure all bank accounts match daily records and maintain oversight of the credit line based on receivables.

Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Address any discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar accounting role.

Strong knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with Entrée is a plus.

Ability to perform journal entries, AR, AP, and reconciliations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule:

Part-time, 3 days per week (flexible schedule).

Education and Experience:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping role

• Proficient in account reconciliation and data entry

• Demonstrable experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations is necessary

• Strong bookkeeping skills are required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with month end close tasks is a must

• Proficient in using QuickBooks accounting software
