Job Description

An employer for a large insurance company is looking for a Senior Automation QE to join different project/sprint teams. This person should be strong technically in QA Automation (Java/Selenium, UI testing, API testing) and transfer to release to the functional side. 100% of this role will be focused on the Automation framework. Responsibilities include:

  Developing/Coding on Automation Framework (implementing new functionality, rewriting/enhancing framework, etc)

  Supporting the QE automation framework and migrating test cases to the V3 automation framework.

Role is 100% REMOTE but candidate preference is - LOCAL to BREA/San Jose, CA - required to come on site 1x a month or as needed to meet with team and collaborate

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college (Computer Science/Engineering Degree - equivalent or technical field)

High Tech Company Experience (Silicon Valley or Start Up Company)

3+ years of experience with QA Automation/SDET/Quality Engineering

3+ years of experience API testing - INSOMNIA (switching to this in March 2025)

3+ years of experience with Java programming experience

3+ years of experience with Selenium Web Driver

UI Testing

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, & fast learner

Ability to self-learn and collaborate within groups

Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Python Programming Language

SQL scripting / writing complex queries

Experience with Jenkins / CI CD (Done automation tooling) null
