The IT Support Associate will be responsible for providing professional, effective and knowledgeable IT support to all internal employees in Amazon. They will work closely with other partner teams and contractors to troubleshoot issues with IT systems. They will have an understanding of the broad variety of IT standards deployed at Amazon and be capable of resolving straightforward issues. They will have the communication skills to guide both peers and non-technical Amazonians to implement solutions that maintain productivity.

The successful IT Support Associate will be customer focused and take ownership for the IT experience. They will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with day to day and ad-hoc customer requests. They will be committed, flexible and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity. They will demonstrate strong initiative and genuine curiosity

Key job responsibilities

This role is a technical on-premise position supporting internal employees in Amazon offices. This position requires hands-on experience in supporting PC hardware, software and IT peripherals. It requires working with internal ticketing tool to communicate with customers. Prepare hardware for new hires joining the company and also manage IT asset inventory, while continuing to learn new technologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • One or more years’ experience supporting operating systems (Windows, Macintosh or Linux)

  • Proficiency supporting office productivity applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

  • Experience using a ticket system for customer service requests

  • A demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology

  • English language skills (B2)

  • Slovak language skills (B2)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting through various channels (on-premise, chat, phone)

  • Understanding of the basic concepts of Information Systems security

  • Experience providing IT support in a medium to large sized company

  • Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting (Client/Sever, Network equipment)

  • Ability to identify and proactively resolve or escalate issues
