Description:

Aerotek is looking for a Detailer/Assembler in the Branford area for an immediate job opportunity. This company manufactures lighting fixtures and component parts for the aerospace and defense industry. This person will be responsible for the assembly, detailing, and finishing process of a specific lighting component. This company works with multiple government contracting companies, and has a great reputation within the industry.

Tasks include:

•Buffing and finishing aluminum molds

•Attaching glass to molds

•Adding shims to maintain precise gap tolerances

•Drilling and countersinking holes

•Performing measurements with calipers

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in metal parts finishing or aluminum buffing

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers

• Basic understanding of manufacturing tolerances
