Education Qualifications:

This LPN/CMA will support our Urology Team (RNs, Physicians, and other providers). You will provide direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care plans, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing pre- and post-procedure care related to urological treatments.

• Clinical Support: Prepare and maintain urological instruments and equipment, assist with urological procedures and examinations, and perform catheterizations, bladder irrigations, and other related tasks as directed by the urologist or supervising nurse.

• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on urological health, treatment plans, and home care instructions, ensuring they understand their conditions and follow-up requirements.

• Documentation and Coordination: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, document procedures and patient responses, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.

This position will work the following:

• 40 hours/week

• No Weekends

• 8 Hour Shifts

• Day Shift: 7:30AM - 5:00PM

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts)

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state
