Job Summary and Qualifications
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently accepting applications for Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor. As a Supervisor, you will supervise and perform duties directly involved with the technical procedures and ensure the smooth operation of the department. You must be able to work in a technical capacity, able to assume all duties encountered by a staff technologist.
We prioritize patient care.
Your tasks and responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:
Assume responsibility for patient flow and all other patient care issues while ensuring both employee and patient safety
Collaborate and coordinate the patient’s care including discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the health care team
Assist with the orientation, coaching and education of staff within Diagnostic Imaging
Appropriately allocate staff who are qualified and competent based on approved staffing patterns, staff capabilities, patient populations and technology
Assist in evaluation of staff
Mediate personnel issues in department
Establish and maintain an ethical working relationship and good rapport with physicians, hospital staff and vendors
Participate in on-call schedule as assigned
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers; Trained in a hospital program
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
Three (3) to five (5) years technical experience required; Two (2) years as a Supervisor preferred, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
Current ARRT certification
Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Management/planning skills
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
