Wood County Hospital Registration Representative-Per Diem in Bowling Green, Ohio

Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Patient Access Associate/Registration Representative. The Patient Access Associate provides personal care and professional excellence by arranging for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and outpatients. Insures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Accurately gathers demographic, contact, insurance, and family doctor information

  • Scans insurance documents for the use of other departments

  • Obtains necessary signature of consent for treatment and insurance billing

  • Follows up on patient accounts utilizing daily work and follow up request to communicate with other members in the Revenue Cycle.

  • Communicates effectively with Nursing Supervisor and other department to initiate direct admits to the hospital and patients without doctor’s orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting
