Wood County Hospital Neurology and Sleep Disorder Center Supervisor in Bowling Green, Ohio

Wood County Hospital is looking for individuals who are interested in being  part of a dynamic healthcare team of caring individuals who provide services to patients with sleep disorders.  We are accepting applications for our Sleep Disorder Center.  The Sleep Disorder Center Supervisor oversees staff in the performance of sleep related testing, ensuring quality of care and adherence to AASM accreditation standards and manages the patient experience.  

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the day to day operations in partnership with the department and medical directors

  • Works with the department director and human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning and scheduling employees. 

  • Coaching and counseling , communicating job expectations, job appraisals, adhering to policies and procedures

  • Maintains safe operation of EEG and sleep testing equipment by adhering to governmental and hospital safety regulations

  • Acts as clinical resource and supports staff with all patient populations

  • Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by developing policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations, and Joint Commission and AASM standards

  • Provides staff/multidiscipline education, training and skills/competency

  • Educates the community by participating in health-education projects

    Shift Details:

    Hours: 

  • Full Time, 36 hours/week

    Shift:

  • Day Shift, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an approved Polysomnography Technologist program

  • Graduate of an approved respiratory care program preferred

  • Associates degree

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an approved Polysomnography Technologist program

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of Respiratory Care in an acute setting, including general, critical and emergency care

  • 5 Years of EEG and Sleep testing 

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
