Description

We are offering a contract for a part time (24 hours per week) Credit/Collections Clerk role in BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. In this position, you will be a key player in our customer service, managing all aspects of our credit and collections process.

Responsibilities

• Manage communication with customer accounts that are overdue, primarily via telephone and email, requesting payment and establishing necessary payment arrangements.

• Maintain detailed records of interactions with customers for future reference and resolution.

• Process credit card payments and check payments over the phone.

• Investigate and resolve billing issues, collaborating with customers, sales representatives, and other internal departments.

• Keep payment records within our computer systems up to date.

• Investigate returned mail, contacting customers to verify and obtain correct addresses, and updating this information in our systems.

• Handle incoming mail and emails, including opening, sorting, scanning checks, and posting cash payments.

• Work with the Credit Staff on payment reconciliation, transaction coding, and other Accounts Receivable related issues.

• Generate invoices as required.

• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Experience with Banner Ads is beneficial

• Proficiency in Business Systems is a must

• Knowledge of Chef software is preferred

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls is necessary

• Knowledge of Billing Functions is needed

• Familiarity with Check Processing is beneficial

• Proficiency in Collection Processes is required
