Position Summary

The Senior Collector / Adjustor works with assigned customers to collect past due invoices and / or resolve deductions. This position may review and release customer orders depending upon the assigned customer(s) and product line.

Specific Responsibilities

Adjustments / Deductions

· Promptly research deductions taken on customer payments to determine if the customer’s claims are valid.

· Promptly issue credit memos when necessary and obtain proper authorization.

· Communicate with customers to collect back deductions for invalid claims and/or past due invoices.

· Identify and communicate internal problems for correction to prevent future deductions.

Assist manager with special projects and keep manager informed of problems.

Large Accounts

Senior Collectors / Adjustors assigned to large accounts (e.g., Walmart) may not perform the collection task described above.

Minimum Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree in related area preferred

· Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills; experience with Oracle systems a plus

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Job Experience Required

4+ years of collections / adjustment or related experience; experience with sizable retail or wholesale customers preferred
