About the Role
Provide recruitment and selection services for the Human Resources and Leadership team. This position delivers highly qualified candidates while advancing the Magna brand across numerous markets and professional communities. Oversee the full lifecycle recruitment, selection, placement, and talent management process while maintaining excellent relations with the hiring team, candidates, and the community at large.
Your Responsibilities
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction activities.
Work under critical deadlines and heavy workloads with minimal supervision.
Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diverse candidates.
Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
Prescreen candidates. Create and present prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval.
Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates. Requires extensive time contacting candidates by phone.
Assist in the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of hiring managers and by company guidelines.
Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers’ interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a safe and thorough audit if required.
Works cooperatively with all members of the staffing team to develop and implement staffing plans and activities.
Develop ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
Maintain and present up-to-date recruitment and selection data for the leadership team, corporate, launch teams, and auditors.
Work with the hiring managers and recruiters to provide the company’s staffing requirements and align their activities in the talent acquisition process.
Understand the job descriptions and each role’s specific skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Research candidates on online platforms like LinkedIn and job boards.
Participate in job fairs and industry networking events to source potential candidates.
Build relationships with potential candidates by sending outreach emails and messages and posting on social media. Engage candidates by answering their questions and informing them about company updates and future opportunities.
Post the latest industry trends, company news, and hiring information to update candidates.
Determine the most suitable candidates by reviewing resumes and conducting interviews. Present shortlisted candidates to recruiters to be considered for the company’s current vacancies.
Track and analyze data to identify which sourcing strategies are working and which are not.
Maintain sourcing tools and databases to ensure smooth candidate sourcing and management.
Continuously learn and adapt to changes in talent acquisition practices and technologies.
Who we are looking for
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 1-year experience Sourcing required
Minimum of 1-year recruiting for manufacturing required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Your preferred qualifications
- Post-secondary education preferred in a related field
