Job Description:
Overview
RMI is seeking a detail-oriented senior project coordinatorto coordinate complex, multi-channel communications projects from start to finish, and support the communication team's business development and finance functions.
The communications operations team optimizes RMI's communications effectiveness by designing and implementing efficient processes and managing the planning and execution of communications and marketing projects for the entire organization.
The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in project management, with demonstratedexpertise in project resourcing and budgeting, preferably at a communications or advertising agency. Astrong connection to RMI's mission is highly desired.
Responsibilities Project Management - 80%
Leverage existing project management tools to manage complex, multi-channel communications projects from start-to-finish
Assist in planning and defining project scopes, budget estimates, and resource plans in partnership with senior project managers and discipline leads
Manage project finances and evaluate burn rate, raise scope creep, share weekly budget reports, and provide inputs for monthly forecasting
Ensure quality and consistency across all projects
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans and status reports, and proactively share with stakeholders and project team(s)
Proactively identify risks, monitor issues, and provide solutions throughout project lifecycle
Schedule project-related internal meetings, set agenda, and provide actionable recaps to project team(s)
Work closely with comms ops leads to manage resources for projects
Operations - 10%
Work closely with operations experts to identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency; contribute to process improvements
Evangelize processes and best practices amongst internal and external stakeholders
Business Development - 10%
Support business development efforts by evaluating proposed scope, providing budget estimates, and creating resource plans
Minimum Qualifications
3-5+ years of project management experience, with demonstratedtrack record of creating resource plans and budgets (agency experience preferred)
Proficiency in project management tools (Monday.com, Workday and Adaptive a plus)
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Solutions oriented self-starter with a positive "can-do" attitude
Ability to quickly react and adapt to changing priorities
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Passionate about process and optimization
Ability to cultivate relationships and build trust at all levels of the organization
Experience in or understanding of the public relations, marketing, and communications environment
Location
We are a remote-ready company with team members around the globe. Our beautiful and welcoming offices are available for meetings or focused work, whether you are traveling through or living nearby. Our U.S. offices are in New York City; Washington, DC; Oakland, California; Boulder, Colorado, and Basalt, Colorado. This role can be located from anywhere in the continental United States.
