Plant Manager

We are presently seeking a Plant Manager that will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the plant's operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, supply chain management, and safety. The role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Provide leadership and direction to all plant departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Manage and mentor a team of department heads, supervisors, and other staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, including production efficiency, quality, and cost control. Production & Operations: Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that manufacturing targets are met in terms of output, quality, and delivery schedules. Implement and monitor production schedules, adjusting as needed to accommodate changes in demand, materials availability, and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with all manufacturing standards and protocols, including ISO certifications and other industry-specific regulations. Quality Control: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards. Lead efforts to identify and resolve production issues that affect product quality, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed. Safety & Compliance: Ensure the plant operates in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits and training sessions. Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement of raw materials and supplies, ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules. Manage inventory levels to balance production needs with cost control, minimizing excess inventory while avoiding stockouts. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operating costs. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to streamline operations and improve performance. Financial Management: Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals and company objectives. Monitor and report on key financial metrics, such as cost per unit, yield, and overall profitability. Customer Relations: Work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing any issues related to product quality, delivery, or service. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, M.S.) is preferred Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor and or optics/photonics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role. Proven experience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
