Medtronic IT Manufacturing Site Manager - Colorado (Boulder, Louisville, Parker) in Boulder, Colorado

A Day in the Life

The person in this role will work from Colorado Medtronic facilities. Primary location will be Boulder, with regular time spent in Louisville and occasional visits to the Parker manufacturing site.

In your role as IT Manufacturing Site Manager, you will be a member of the Colorado Manufacturing Campus Staff, part of the West/Mexico Manufacturing Region. You will be accountable for all the IT Services on the three Colorado Manufacturing Sites and will work with Corporate IT and other regional and site Leaders to ensure Goals and Objectives for GOSC IT are achieved.

  • Participate in Daily Tier Meetings at the Manufacturing Site.

  • Manage Operational Demands from the Campus

  • Manage Business and IT Escalations

  • Ensure Operational KPIs for the site are met.

  • Ensure Projects and strategic programs are delivered on time and on budget with first time quality.

  • Develop a High-Performance Team.

  • Support Site Manufacturing Applications (ERP, MES, Labeling, shop floor applications)

  • Support Operational Excellence Activities at the site (Gembas, Kaizen and Problem Solving)

  • Manage Vendors, POs, SOWs and IT contracts for the site.

  • Champion the MPS process.

  • Ensure Quality of IT Services and systems.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Strong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management, and vendors

  • Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)

  • Six Sigma/MPS experience.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendors

  • Proven knowledge and discipline around departmental budget planning and execution

  • Broad business knowledge and experience

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Proven departmental and project finance and budgeting experience

  • Strong decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently and across sites

  • Prior IT Manufacturing support experience

  • Strong Financial acumen

  • Excellent presentation skills including the ability to translate highly technical information into business terminology

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Provide IT leadership and ensure proper execution of key initiatives to successful deployment for the site.

  • Ensure all aspects of the work completed by IT personnel meets or exceeds service expectations.

  • Manage to budgets (department/team/project), cost estimates, service level targets, and project deadlines.

  • Ensure communication of project progress, status, issues and problem resolutions in a timely manner to both local site management and Global IT leadership.

  • Consult with internal customers to scope, schedule & provide cost estimates for new projects.

  • Ensure that projects follow a structured development methodology.

  • Communicate vision, project progress & support objectives, and achievements to customers, stakeholders and management.

  • Work cross-functionally with peers to develop and influence consistent practices related to staff development, performance management, client quality programs, cost management.

  • Establish appropriate relationships at all levels within the business organization to communicate strategy.

  • Ensure governance, compliance, and regulatory processes are followed.

  • Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices.

  • Test the quality of a product and its ability to perform a task or solve a problem.

  • Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization procedures in each of the primary operating systems.

  • Technology: Use computational thinking to define technological solutions to real life problems.

  • Design technology that allows for the optimal user experience and broad accessibility.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Strongly Preferred:

  • Previous Medtronic experience

  • Stakeholder management experience

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Solid project management experience and familiar with project management tools

  • Knowledgeable in project management methodologies

  • Ability to develop relations across business/functions

  • Ability to define requirements, manage scope and influence team members to deliver task

  • Experienced in managing Data Center programs

  • Knowledge of various infrastructure disciplines

  • Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements.

  • Technology depth and credibility to technical staff

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or MIS business-related discipline

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):140000

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
