Insight Global Axis/Milestone System Administrator in Boulder, Colorado

Job Description

Systems Administrator/Contractor position responsible for the maintenance, operation, and planning of enterprise Milestone Camera and Axis Camera technical systems. Responsible for leading capacity planning, functional and technical design of Milestone/Axis Camera enterprise systems, and resolution of complex problems. Oversees testing, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and development of operation and maintenance procedures.

Skills and Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Milestone Camera systems and Axis Cameras

      * Installation of all operating systems, and associated new releases and upgrades

      * Manages system patching, security updates

      * Monitors, tunes, diagnoses, and resolves operating system problems

      * Develop and maintain a backup/recovery strategy for all operating system software

      * Configures and defines system resources such as SAN & NAS disc space, printers, and tape libraries

      * Utilizes administrative subsystems to schedule system tasks

      * Reviews new software to determine its compatibility with existing software and systems

      * Evaluates and recommends to management complex software products, systems and tools as to their application to computer systems, and plans for their inclusion into system operation

      * Diagnoses and resolves software and hardware problems

      * Organizes and prepares technical documentation for complex software products, components, and tools
