In this position...

Ford Enterprise Technology seeks an analytical and results-driven Technology Strategist with a proven track record in technology management and strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will facilitate collaboration with executive leadership, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to Ford's technological advancement.

As a Technology Strategy Manager, you will support office of CETO across variety of strategic special projects, including creating and managing executive presentations and project orchestration with business partners.

This is a remote position, however we expect travel for 1-3 days every 6-7 weeks.

What you’ll do…

  • Engage with senior technology leaders to provide strategic insights and support informed decision-making

  • Manage the preparation and delivery of materials for executive governance forums, including developing presentation materials, action item tracking, and outcome reporting

  • Evaluate and prioritize technology projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and fostering a culture of innovation

  • Assess technology problems and craft point-of-views to communicate strategic decisions and set enterprise guardrails that enable decision-making deeper within the organization

  • Proactively identify organizational bottlenecks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions

  • Execute a variety of special project tasks with a focus on detail, confidentiality, and adherence to deadlines

  • Assist in strategic planning efforts, providing thorough analysis, and developing quantitative business case models to guide technology investments that align with Ford's strategic goals

Functional & Technical Knowledge:

  • Expected functional knowledge includes proficiency in Business Strategy and Roadmap development and alignment, Product Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Data Analysis and Visualization, Executive Presentations, and a keen ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.

  • Working knowledge across a variety of technology topics, such as Emerging Technology Trends, IT Infrastructure and Operations, Cloud Architecture, Data and AI, and Cyber Security, to provide thought leadership and make informed technology decisions

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, Engineering, or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of experience in large IT organizations, business strategy, or management consulting, preferably in the automotive, manufacturing, or technology sectors

  • 3+ years of analytical, communication and presentation experience that may include working with ambiguity, creating structure, driving clarity on complex problems, turning technical and complex information into clear communication and presenting actionable strategies with a focus on business value and outcomes

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business growth

  • Varied exposure and knowledge across technology disciplines and awareness of emerging trends in the industry

  • Experience in a cross-functional role that collaborates with a variety of technology functions

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear communication and actionable strategies with a focus on business value and outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization and influence stakeholders without direct authority

  • Experience in developing and presenting high-quality documents and presentations to executive leadership

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technology trends, including cloud platforms, AI, and software development methodologies

  • Passion for understanding “the how” behind technology solutions and emerging technologies

  • Proficiency in developing Board of Directors and C-Suite level presentations, communications, and speaking points

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business growth

  • Varied exposure and knowledge across technology disciplines and awareness of emerging trends in the industry

  • Experience in a cross-functional role that collaborates with a variety of technology functions

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear communication and actionable strategies with a focus on business value and outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization and influence stakeholders without direct authority

  • Experience in developing and presenting high-quality documents and presentations to executive leadership
