The AWS Startup Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with startup companies as they build their businesses. We're here to help them deploy the best, most scalable, most secure, cost effective and easy to operate architectures.

Key job responsibilities

The Solutions Architect engages with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, design reliable, and cost-effective cloud-native architectures. As a Startups Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, AWS Sales, and several other AWS teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. Travel, including out of state, up to 20% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

  • Understanding of touchpoints between participants in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry

  • Awareness of the challenges faced by the HCLS industry and the potential use of technology to improve access, outcomes, patient and provider experiences, and reduce cost.

  • Hands-on experience working with HCLS industry-specific requirements and technologies. Examples include interoperability (HL7, FHIR, etc.), Compliance and regulatory (HIPAA, GDPR, GxP, etc.), HCLS Tech (Medical Imaging, Electronic Health Records, Med Devices, etc.), HCLS Research and Delivery (Clinical Trials, Genomics, Labs, Pharmacy, Pharma, Providers, etc.)

  • Experience in a customer-facing, sales aligned role, presenting to small and large audiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
