Position: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Length: 4-6 months

Job Description:

Our client seeks a driven and enthusiastic Senior Business Analyst to identify stakeholder needs, propose IT solutions, and present recommendations across all organizational levels. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build effective relationships, and a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The position involves significant cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, organizational, and/or operational requirements.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and operational requirements.

  • Lead business analysis initiatives and assess technology’s impact on business.

  • Develop a deep understanding of stakeholders and their needs.

  • Collaborate with internal customers and vendors to define system requirements and distinguish true needs.

  • Document and optimize business processes and recommend automation opportunities.

  • Support service delivery teams with system requirements, gap analysis, and alternative solutions.

  • Contribute to communications, change management, and development planning.

  • Create and manage documentation, contingency strategies, and resource plans.

  • Prepare and present materials to demonstrate solutions and facilitate stakeholder sign-off.

  • Support service delivery by reviewing design documents and ensuring requirements are met.

  • Review and support test strategies, plans, and user testing.

  • Develop test plans, scenarios, and end-user documentation.

  • Enhance business analysis and project management processes.

  • Provide support to the PSMO and assist in managing the ITS Project Pipeline.

  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or similar work experience.

  • 5-7 years of experience in IT disciplines, with exposure to digital technologies and requirements elicitation methods.

  • 4-7 years in business analysis for large IT projects, with experience in building relationships with stakeholders.

  • Proven track record in implementing major projects, processes, and systems.

  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to clarify needs and propose solutions.

  • Experience with requirements elicitation methods (i.e., design thinking, prototyping, focus groups).

  • Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, hardware, and cloud solutions.

  • Self-motivated, with experience working in cross-functional teams and with third-party solutions.

  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall project methodologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.

  • Skilled in facilitating requirements sessions with varying levels of technical expertise, with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Business Analysis certification is a significant asset.
