Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. The primary function of this role will be to manage all accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule

• Support month-end and year-end close process

• Ensure timely bank payments

• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns

• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

• Audit financial transactions and documents

• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary

• Comply with financial policies and regulations. Requirements • Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role is essential.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is necessary.

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is required.

• Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar, is necessary.

• Strong analytical skills and experience in detailed account analysis.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.

• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality.

• CPA or CMA certification would be considered a bonus.
