Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Job Duties:

Responsible for deployment and integration of cloud platform architectures, provide performance enhancements through automation and push enhanced reliability to support product development. Duties include:

  • Collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, product owners and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate delivery of new value through software;

  • Provide reliable and scalable platform experience and resolve platform issues discovered by technical support teams;

  • Investigate new platform solutions to enhance service delivery experience;

  • Troubleshoot complex platform provisioning issues discovered by internal and external clients;

  • Develop code for moderately complex software per specifications and standards;

  • Prototype and build new functionalities to deliver key platform objectives for evolving and improving platform services for production reliability and usage;

  • Deliver user experience focused on self-service and continuous delivery; and

  • Maintain knowledge of developments within technical discipline and translate into working environment.

Telecommuting from anywhere in the United States is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and 4 years of software development lifecycle experience.

Experience must include:

  • 4 years of experience with Agile and DevOps principles, and continuous integration.

  • 2 years of experience creating and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Chef, and Azure Cloud Foundry.

  • 4 years of experience automating provisioning and day-to-day operations using Python, Powershell or Javascript;

  • 4 years of experience participating in code reviews.

Experience may be gained concurrently and before, during or after Master’s degree.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

USA, Massachusetts, Boston, 200 Berkeley Street

Salary range is expected to be between

$102,200.00 USD - $189,800.00 USD
