Job Description

Does leading a transformational change for the LEGO Group's Brick and Mortar channel and taking it to the next commercial level sound like your next dream challenge? This unique position sits at the intersection of all of regional and global Commercial Development, and will partner across our key category, analytics and insights and Business Unit experts to lead how we show up at the shelf for our consumers and retail partners. You will play a key role in bringing outstanding new products and experiences to the market and providing a measurable, direct impact to our growing business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for enabling the retail execution pillar of The LEGO Group Commercial strategy, in partnership with our local sales and A&I teams, representing the Regional Commercial Development (RCD) organization.

  • Find opportunities that better serve shopper needs and showcase how our portfolio is set up to captivate and delight consumers based on key trends and insights.

  • Co-develop the Customer Value Proposition and Go to Market guidelines for our key target audiences; and build the compelling commercial storyline for retailers that secures buy-in to our retail asks.

  • Planogram development recommendations for key Grocery and Toy Specialists customers – with a focus on improving shelf efficiency and ease in path to purchase.

  • Partner with key US Markets to ensure a strong link from the Regional Integrated Commercial Plans (ICP) into Customer ICPs / Joint Business Plans (JBPs)

  • Partner with our Trade Marketing teams to secure retail presence and experience.

  • Responsible for in-depth category and shopper understanding and insights at a micro and macro level.

  • Analyze Category/segment performance using customer, consumer, shopper and macro environment data and sources.

The Regional Commercial Development team in the Americas Market Group (US, Canada, LATAM) acts as a commercial partner to our markets in making informed and impactful commercial decisions to reach more kids in a sustainable way. These decisions include channel strategy, assortment strategy and listings, customer segmentation and sales excellence; and are articulated in local commercial plans led by the team. As a regional team, we translate the global commercial agenda into regional priorities, in addition to identifying specific Americas regional initiatives.

Do you have what it takes!

  • Five+ years of related category management experience in consumer packaged goods (FMCG); experience partnering with Walmart and/or Target preferred, but not required.

  • Demonstrated track record working in a global business with strong multi-cultural teams, encouraging positive relationships, team spirit and culture.

  • Sophisticated analytical skills with a data-driven decision making mentality.

  • Extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail landscape in the US, Canada, and LATAM

  • Relevant professional experience in product information management, category management or business/product development

  • Project and portfolio management experience

  • Experience working with dashboards to provide in-depth data and insight reports

  • Experience with planogram development (JDA Space Planning)

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

New Location Update

This position will initially be based at 501 Boylston St or 10 St. James Street in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St by mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $120,500 - $180,700 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
