It is anticipated that you will work on a Hybrid basis under the Bank's "Hybrid" categorization of this role. You agree to work in the FRB Boston office and with a schedule agreed upon with your management team. The current hybrid policy is that you spend at least half of your working days over the course of each month in person (either on-site at the Bank, or on Bank business elsewhere). This arrangement will be reviewed periodically as the Bank assesses hybrid work arrangements. While working from your home office, you agree to have the appropriate office set up to support your full engagement and protection of Federal Reserve information. It is expected that you reside within the First District and remain located within the district.

Overview:

You will lead or conduct complex technical audits and other projects as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's IT Audit Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate governance, risks and controls for the Federal Reserve's IT environment, the effectiveness of IT operations, safeguarding of assets and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

  • Complete the audit program following department standards under general direction with a great degree of independence.

  • Establish scope and objectives, establish assignment schedules and budgets, develop new or revise existing audit programs, and prepare concise work papers that document the audit tests and conclusions.

  • Plan and assure the satisfactory completion of audit responsibilities. Oversee and review audit work performed by audit team members.

  • Evaluate audit team members performance for each assignment.

  • Identify and assess the impact of audit observations, make appropriate recommendations and present clear explanations of the issues with audit management and Bank leadership.

  • Prepare written reports to Bank leadership at the conclusion of audits.

  • Appraise the adequacy of corrective action taken to address reported audit issues.

  • Help mentor new auditors and develop less experienced auditors through formal presentations or on-the job training.

  • Maintain an advanced knowledge base and an awareness of activities in the most complex areas of assigned liaison coverage, analyze relevant data, and assess the impact of business and technology changes.

  • Develop/maintain audit programs and risk assessments for assigned areas of liaison coverage.

  • Provide audit coverage to complex system development efforts and other technology projects.

  • Lead System and local audit projects having the goal of improving the effectiveness of the Audit department.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of job-related experience.

  • Graduate degree and professional certification (i.e., Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional) preferred.

  • Working knowledge with some of the following technologies: cloud computing, Agile development methodologies, software development, blockchain/cryptocurrency applications, cryptography, artificial intelligence/machine learning.
