Job Description

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a pharmacist to join a dynamic healthcare team for a contract role. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of eight to fill medication orders in accordance with policies, while developing proficiency in advanced preparations.

Key Responsibilities:

 Ensure timely completion of medication orders and supplies

 Utilize multiple systems, including EnterpriseRx and EPIC, to document and complete duties

 Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory: sorting, stocking, managing stock rotation, expiration dates, and cycle counting

 Perform and document required quality control steps, including cleaning sterile and non-sterile areas of the pharmacy

 Communicate and escalate issues effectively within the team

 Participate in department meetings and functions to promote a successful pharmacy workgroup

 May be assigned to cross-cover other locations, including Methuen or Chestnut Hill, for various tasks such as materials management, outpatient services, infusion, and clean room operations

Skills and Requirements

Must Have:

 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacist

 Experience in a retail environment (e.g., Walgreens)

 Knowledge of insurance claims adjustment (verifying insurance, submitting claims, resolving issues)

 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

 Excellent communication skills and a strong team orientation

 Pharmacist license Pluses:

 Previous experience in outpatient or specialty pharmacy

 Familiarity with McKesson EnterpriseRx for pharmacy workflows

 Experience with EPIC null
