State of Massachusetts HR Learning & Development Instructional Design Co-op Spring 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and creative Instructional Design Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development of engaging educational materials and contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing learning experiences. Programs are focused on business and professional skills within an HR organization. This co-op offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in instructional design within a collaborative environment. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist in the design and development of instructional materials, including e-learning modules, lesson plans, and assessments. * Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and transform it into engaging learning experiences. * Support the review and revision process of existing instructional materials based on feedback and best practices. * Participate in usability testing and gather feedback to improve learning outcomes. * Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to create interactive content. * Conduct research on instructional design trends and best practices to inform project development. * Help organize and maintain project documentation and resources. Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with instructional design principles and learning theories. * Basic experience with authoring tools and multimedia design software is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines. * Creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Coursework, experience, or project work related to instructional design, curriculum development, or adult learning principles. * Experience creating presentations or educational content (e.g., through coursework, work experience, volunteer work, or personal projects). * Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) or educational technologies.
