This opportunity entails providing geospatial technology services to HNTB clients, working independently performing complex work in developing, configuring, testing, implementing and maintaining geospatial systems. Leads projects of medium to large scope.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversees and lead geospatial projects and solutions for complex business problems using GIS software and tools.

• Defines geospatial strategy and vision for clients and stakeholders.

• Designs and develops innovative solutions using advanced geospatial technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, etc.

• Provides technical expertise and direction for junior geospatial developers and analysts.

• Reviews and optimizes geospatial data and applications for quality, performance, and security.

• Provides support and troubleshooting for software and hardware systems that are used by other departments within an organization.

• Identifies new opportunities and challenges for GIS technology within an organization or industry sector.

• Works with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and deliverables.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 6 years of related experience, or

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 5 years of related experience, or

• In lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience.

What We Prefer:

• Certified GIS Professional (GISP)

• Experience with configuring Esri apps such as Survey123, Indoors, 3D GIs, GeoAI, AGOL, and Field Maps

• Experience with scripting language such as Python

The approximate pay range for Connecticut is $100,502.72 - $171,487.15. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
