Position Description:

We're seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with designers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver innovative solutions.

Interprets requirements and builds middle and back-end Web applications. Develops software applications, using Java, JDBC, Relational Database, Spring Boot, containerization and messaging technologies. Automates pipelines using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery methods and tools – Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Participates in architecture design teams.

• Defines and implements application architecture.

• Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems.

• Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

• Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

• Advises senior management on technical strategy.

• Mentors junior team members.

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of experience in developing Java applications using frameworks like Spring and Object Relational Mapping.

• Skilled in building, deploying, and supporting applications with tools such as Git, Maven, and Continuous Integration (CI) tools, specifically within a financial services environment.

• Proficient in using Java Integrated Development Environment tools and debugging capabilities.

• Experienced with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledgeable in web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS) and authentication protocols (SSO/OAuth).

• Expertise in tuning Java for performance and scalability using concurrency, memory management, I/O optimization, and profiling tools.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and tuning complex relational database applications using PL/SQL.

• Skilled in writing performant SQL and PL-SQL logic and using database client tools like Toad and SQL Developer.

• Understanding of relational database data architecture concepts.

• Experienced in source code management and version control using DevOps tools such as git-stash, Jenkins, and Jira.

• Proficient in UNIX shell scripting.

• Familiar with AWS or Azure cloud environments and services.

This role can be performed in: Merrimack NH, Smithfield RI, Boston MA.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 -$146,800.
