Aston Carter Financial Reporting Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Financial Reporting Analyst

Location: Boston, MA

Pay Rate: $64.70 per hour (no flexibility)

Project Description: A leading financial services organization is seeking seven Financial Reporting Analysts to assist with the reconciliation of approximately 1000 mutual funds for a major client due to year-end close. This is a temporary position lasting 3-4 months to manage the increased workload. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and a chance to work for one of the largest banks in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production and filing of various financial reports with the SEC

  • Review and analyze financial statements for multiple fund types

  • Coordinate shareholder report mailings

  • Act as the primary contact for client inquiries and financial reporting issues

  • Participate in audits and respond to internal and external inquiries

  • Assist in developing department procedures and system enhancements

  • Work with legal counsel and auditors on filings and reporting

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to Fund Management and the Board of Directors

Requirements:

  • Experience with mutual funds

  • Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and reconciliations

  • Experience in investment/financial services space

  • Ability to handle high volume fund reviews (up to 10 per day)

  • Team player with the potential for long hours and overtime

Timeline:

  • Interviews: Scheduled for the weeks of 11/18 and 11/25

  • Start Date: January 6th
