Wayfair Brand Management Associate in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><strong><em>This role reports into our Boston office Monday-Thursday (remote flexibility on Friday).</em></strong></p>

<p>This role is on the Wayfair Inc. Brand &amp; Insights team with the goal to develop, strengthen, and grow the Wayfair brand while driving trial, preference, and long-term loyalty with our target audience. Key responsibilities include conducting market research including competitive benchmarking and macro consumer trends, partnering with consumer insights on brand health tracking, updating brand materials, and maintaining brand integrity across key consumer touchpoints. This role helps develop our brand strategy and go-to-market strategy by deeply understanding the consumer, the competitive landscape, and the core brand offering.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Support strategy development by conducting competitive research, monitoring trends, and partnering with Consumer Insights to stay up to date on brand health tracking</li>

<li>Own annual GTM brief in partnership with Creative Development, Curated Merchandising and Content to ensure brand priorities, customer mindsets and macro trends are integrated into marketing content each season</li>

<li>Partner closely with the Customer Insights team to distill and distribute customer insights to guide brand priorities and educate cross-functional teams on monthly and quarterly brand narrative&nbsp;</li>

<li>Identify, centralize and share out brand, marketing, and industry trends and best practices to ensure teams are informed on the macro environment and relative current events</li>

<li>Help drive brand thinking and evangelism through the entire organization to promote functional excellence and improve internal adoption and understanding of our brand platform</li>

<li>Support in building the brand management community across brand and geos to foster collaboration and best-practice sharing&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Provide light-touch creative feedback to ensure the brand is accurately and optimally represented to the customer in all external-facing material</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>What You’ll Need</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>1-3 years of experience working in brand marketing in a consumer brand, agency, and/or consulting capacity&nbsp;</li>

<li>A deep understanding of and curiosity about consumer behavior</li>

<li>Demonstrated balance of being highly analytical and originally creative</li>

<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders&nbsp;</li>

<li>Ability to communicate a high-level brand vision as well as give tactical creative feedback</li>

<li>Strong verbal and written skills including distilling data into compelling, insight-led presentations</li>

<li>Superb project management skills including the ability to work on multiple projects at once</li>

<li>Critical thinking including the ability to break down complex ideas and generate insights and solutions or strategically build a story from large data sets</li>

<li>An ownership mindset with the ability to streamline processes and thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a “get stuff done” attitude</li>

<li>Collaborative team player who wants to see the whole team succeed and thrive</li>

<li>Familiarity with the latest market trends and best practices especially as it relates to the target consumer</li>
