Wolters Kluwer Associate Director, Business Development - Remote in Boston, Massachusetts

The Financial & Corporate Compliance (FCC) division of Wolters Kluwer is comprised of CT Corporation and Compliance Solutions (CS) . The FCC businesses provide lending, regulatory and investment compliance solutions to financial institutions and legal entity compliance solutions to corporations, small businesses, and law firms.

Basic Function:

As the Associate Director, Business Development for Compliance Solutions, you will lead a hybrid team (internal & 3rd party) of 6-12 Business Development Representatives (BDRs) for a high growth $500M business. You will lead a team of BDRs across the Enterprise and SMB financial services customer segments, as well as Banking Loan Compliance and Regulatory Compliance and Intelligence product segments. You will drive pipeline development strategies that will consistently and predictably achieve and accelerate pipeline and revenue growth across the entire portfolio.

In this role, you will work at a fully remote location within the United States and will report to the Senior Director, FCC/CS Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution of strategies and tactics that enable the Business Development team to achieve their monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline development quotas.

  • Accountable to sales leadership for achieving agreed upon pipeline development and acceleration targets.

  • Responsible to drive quota attainment and growth through third-party teams and support build-out of hybrid internal team structure.

  • Direct teams to succeed through best practice business development practices and processes, including metrics management for increased productivity and stakeholder confidence.

  • Collaborate with leadership to create training plans and elevate team performance.

  • Utilize CRM and sales enablement platforms to ensure segment specific KPIs are met and account intelligence is captured and reportable.

  • Lead monthly pipeline development review calls with GTM leadership teams (Sales, Marketing, Product) to review plan vs actual attainment and key pipeline performance insights.

  • Evaluate and leverage modern toolset (AI based, intent data, etc.) with the goal of increasing productivity and lowering the cost of acquisition.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.

Experience:

  • 8 years of sales/business development experience with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close.

  • Proven management experience with the ability to coach and motivate a team.

  • Experience with funnel and forecast management, and proven demand generation methodologies.

  • Highly data driven in business development approach and performance management.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications :

  • Ability to verbally relay concepts, goals, project plans to all parties involved in the execution of said plans.

  • Experience writing reports and correspondence to an executive audience.

  • Successful change management experience.

  • Experience with negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in the Financial Services and FinTech space .

  • Experience with modern B2B and B2B2C prospecting techniques and attracting new customers.

  • Knowledge and experience with thought leadership narrative building and advisory oriented strategic content development.

  • Knowledge and experience standing up new teams and fostering growth .

  • Knowledge and experience leading revenue operations capabilities.

  • Knowledge and/or experience with modern tools (AI based, intent data, etc.).

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
