Eaton Mobility Group has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager who will be based in Bosconero Valve Plant (TO)

As the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager , you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

• develop, maintain and continuously improve the manufacturing process in order to meet quality standards, safety standards, performs feasibility studies and solves problems, being involved in all phases of assigned standard engineering projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.

• be responsible for monitoring and improving manufacturing processes that reduce operating costs, improve quality and reduce scraps for all the operations and processes utilized to manufacturing a valve; supervising corrective actions related to machine capabilities and day to day production problems, developing proposals relating to new/improved processing methods, evaluating and implementing manufacturing cost savings and suggestions, supporting continuous improvement effort and develop machining processes for new part releases. Special focus on safety machine adjustment plans and projects.

• conduct manufacturing runs to measure and provide a realistic process capability analysis: improves production times, production costs, production cycles and scrap levels.Design and develop production process improvements together with Manufacturing dept. to increase the efficiency and to assure quality. Review and evaluate new products, processes and equipment. Detect and analyze machines cycle time.

• for the Maintenance Area he/she will be responsible for the organization of all plant maintenance activities and coordination of the Maintenance Supervisor, Facilitators and Technicians. Constantly monitor and manage the assigned maintenance budget, organize and coordinate preventive maintenance for the entire plant, developing the necessary procedures for the process, carrying out reactive maintenance and proposes action plan

• Supervise and take measures to implement, promote and maintain a safe work environment

• Promote continuous improvement projects and cost reduction

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Engineering or related field (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Engineering).

• Minimun 3 years experience in similar positions

• Fluent Italian and English knowledge

Skills:

• Knowledge of assembly processes and equipment (PFMEA , work instruction , CAD system , Lean Manufacturing , PokeYoke )

• Knowledge of quality processes and tools such as statistical process control, capability studies, and gage R&R

• Lean manufacturing Knowledge

• Able to develop and motivate direct reports and to Deal with ambiguity
