Cooper County is seeking to fill the position with an Operations Manager who will support and assist the E-911 Administrator by planning, organizing and supervising the work of staff assigned to the Emergency Communications Centers call taking and dispatch office. The Operations Manager supervises and evaluates the work of the shift supervisors.

Additional duties are, but not limited to, participating in meetings in an active and constructive manner. Identifies work force requirements and recruits, selects and retains personnel while considering strategic objectives and plans of the Emergency Communications Center. Demonstrates understanding of the Centers operations which may include: call taking, dispatching, jurisdictional and geographical boundaries and other related Emergency Communication Centers functions.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Missouri Drivers License

Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional administrative work experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification

Certification of Missouri Uniformed Law Enforcement System (MULES)

Supervisory/Instructor Training

Clear Criminal History

Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications

Associates Degree in public administration, fire or police management or related field.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional administrative work experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
