Job Summary

Performs general custodial duties. Ensures sanitation control and checks for related safety hazards. Receives directions from supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general cleaning and related janitorial duties for all or part of (offices, restrooms, lunchrooms, break areas, and plant, manufacturing, warehousing or shipping areas.)

  • Reports needs for major repairs to the supervisor.

  • Maintains supplies in designated storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Cleans entrances, sidewalks, and outside grounds as required.

  • Insures the maintenance of proper sanitation.

  • Checks for safety hazards and reports any deficiencies to Supervisor.

  • Maintains accurate inventories of cleaning supplies and follows established procedures to replenish.

  • Operates equipment such as forklift, sweeper, scrubber, buffer, etc. as required to perform duties.

  • Perform other related duties as may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Must be able to read and understand labels on cleaning supplies, equipment, etc.

  • Must be able to physically lift, bend, stoop, climb, walk, and reach.

  • Some custodial experience preferred.
