Job Type Description

SUMMARY:

The Food Service Transportation Driver is responsible for the delivery of meals to our two satilite sites. They are also responsible for any Food Service Transportation needs across the district.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Drivers Lisense

  • Food Service experience preferred but not required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Oral and written communication skills and English language skills

  • Interpersonal relations skills

  • Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of the job

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations

  • Basic personal computer skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a frequent basis

  • Ability to promote and follow building and departmental policies

  • Apply and follow all school district policies and state of Iowa laws.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Computers and peripherals; must acquire within probationary period
