Quality Systems Specialist

Our client is an industry/global leader in fragrances as well as taste. This company is looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the biggest companies in the flavor and fragrances industry!

Location: Florence, KY

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Pay: $25 - $28/hour

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance local Quality and Food Safety programs to meet global policies, regulations, and customer requirements.

• Manage customer complaints and work on improving performance and compliance.

• Oversee local Quality and Food Safety documentation, including halal, kosher, and organic programs.

• Lead internal audits and monthly food safety inspections.

• Train staff on quality and food safety practices.

• Handle food safety non-conformances, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.

• Support customer, regulatory, and certification audits and implement improvement plans.

• Perform vendor audits and report findings.

• Drive compliance with quality notifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Management/Control.

• Experience with Quality and Food Safety Systems like ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, FDA requirements (PCQI).

• Lead/internal auditor experience is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in SAP, databases, and Microsoft Office.
