What Payroll contributes to Cardinal Health

Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.

Payroll processes the organization's payroll according to company policy and applicable regulations, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and timely with correct withholding and deductions. This job family maintains payroll records and calculates overtime, shift payments, sales commissions and bonuses, taxes and deductions. Payroll prepares reports for management and to meet regulatory and collective bargaining obligations and addresses questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in US and Global Payroll

  • 2 years of experience leading a team

  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field

  • Experience with Workday Payroll

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of Payroll operations and staff

  • Administers and exercises policies and procedures

  • Ensures employees operate within guidelines

  • Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers

  • Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, peer groups at various management levels and other COE’s

  • Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution

  • Maintain and secure Personal Identifiable Information

  • Leads, facilitates and coordinates projects and initiatives

  • Lead the Payroll Processing team in Manila in partnership with the US Payroll & Tax teams

  • Strategically partners with the US Payroll & Tax teams to enhance operations

  • Prepare and evaluate case and workload statistics
