Schedule: Part-Time (24hrs per week)

Shift: 8am-4:30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Location: 500 REMINGTON BLVD, Bolingbrook, 60440

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Bolingbrook Hospital

The role you’ll contribute:

The Inpatient Wound Care RN will be responsible for Inpatient Wound Care oversight, wound/ostomy consultation and management, monitoring of quality indicators, and staff education. This role will participate in the Pressure Ulcer Prevention Committee and serve as a liaison between the Inpatient and Outpatient wound Care/Hyperbarics programs. This includes, but is not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through the use of hospital and nursing standards.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Provide initial and ongoing assessment on each assigned wound care patient to include face to face and telephone triage.

  • Provide specialized education and schedule referrals as ordered by providers.

  • Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center Physicians, and Program Director.

  • Demonstrates proficiency with wound care dressings, edema control and other current proven methodologies.

  • Perform screenings per provider guidelines; assist physicians/nurses when needed as required by specialty.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school

  • At least 1-2 years Wound Care experience required.

  • Active Illinois RN License.

  • Current BLS

  • WOCNCB/CWCN Required and/or Wound Care certification within six (6) months of employment.
