Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Customer Service role based in BOLINGBROOK, Illinois. You will be working within an industry that requires high proficiency in customer service, sales, and office functions. In this role, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, maintaining customer records, and processing customer applications with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle inbound internal and external customer calls, providing pricing information, order delivery information, and resolving any unique scenarios defined by the call.

• Key in customer and salesperson orders into Order Entry in SAP, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.

• Maintain comprehensive customer credit records and monitor customer accounts for any necessary actions.

• Communicate effectively with internal customers regarding the status of their order fulfillment, including permit restrictions, credit restrictions, and out of stock situations.

• Make Sales Division determinations on Hold Items and obtain proper approval to release the item for delivery to the customer.

• Update customer master record information accurately and promptly.

• Provide essential information to all customers, including sales history, delivery information, pricing, and collection processes.

• Handle customer and salesman pick-ups efficiently.

• Provide special attention to the detail required by high profile/high volume accounts to meet their service requirements and expectations.

• Work closely with the data processing and warehouse picking teams to ensure all critical steps in the fulfillment of an order are communicated effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining customer relationships.

• Experience in executing sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.

• Ability to perform various office functions and manage administrative tasks efficiently.

• Knowledge of pricing strategies and collection processes.

• Experience with credit management and understanding of credit-related issues.

• Proficiency in using video technology for communication with internal and external customers.

• Experience in order entry and customer account management.

• Ability to work onsite and adapt to different work environments.

• Skills in using different templates for various business documents.

• Familiarity with ProFile and other relevant software.

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

• Experience in data processing and managing large data sets.

• Understanding of order fulfillment processes and strategies.

• Experience in managing promotional items and coordinating marketing efforts.

• Ability to secure proper approval for various business decisions and transactions.

• Experience and proficiency in using SAP S/4HANA for business operations.
